Book Synopsis
In Galatians 1:1, Paul says he was not chosen to be an apostle by man. Paul was appointed by Jesus Christ and God. He was not chosen the same way as the other apostles. His appointment was in a special way and for a special purpose. Paul made it clear from whom he received his authority. It was from God and Christ. Paul said that he was amazed (astonished, and surprised) that these Christians were already turning away and believing a different gospel. Paul told these followers of Christ that God had called them to follow Him by His grace or kindness thru His Son, Christ. God’s purpose in sending His Son into this world was to make a way for all people of all nations to have a way to have a home in heaven in their next life.
