Book Synopsis
The author presents himself as a nameless character in a painting brought to life when a strange witching hour descends over the gallery. Told from the point of view of each of his fellow paintings, these nineteen stories blend life with the strange, the supernatural, and the unsettling—two poems are included for good measure. In these stories, the wrong interpretation of an eccentric’s will could have disastrous results; A dream collector appears with a brace and drill bit to obtain his keep; A pianist becomes suspicious of his hands, and that the music has intentions of its own; A hotel takes on the characteristics of both its living and dying occupants… All these and more startling tales from the imagination of Benjamin Roque are included in this debut collection.
