Book Synopsis
Angels, like humans, have to make difficult choices and learn powerful lessons. Letters of a Convalescing Angel is the story of Aluviel and his assignment on the Silent Planet (Earth)...but like any existence, sometimes an angel needs help. Mentoring Aluviel is Dianel, who guides his subordinate using "letters" about how to handle situations that arise while working with their 'all-too-human wards'. Through correspondence, Aluviel learns that angels can guide their human charges to the right decision; otherwise, they can only observe the results humans suffer during their downfall. During his first assignment, Aluviel discovers the delicate balance angels must endure to influence human choices in the solemn hope that rewards or consequences obtain a favorable result during their short lives on the Silent Planet. But if he is not careful, Aluviel might suffer as well. Written from a Spiritual View, this book might be considered an antithesis to C. S. Lewis' "The Screwtape Letters."
