Hung Jury

A white cop has shot and killed a black man. Not a drug dealer, a crook or any other kind of criminal. A high school teacher going home after a full day of teaching and then hours spent after school hours coaching the high school track team. It was happening too often across the country and the black community was outraged. To make matters worse the police officer was a female on her first night tour with a training officer.
Because the police officer has little money a public defender is assigned the case and steps into this cauldron. A jury must be picked, an impartial group of twelve plus two alternates. A cross section of every day citizens to decide the fate of a young woman.
The district attorney is charging her with manslaughter. The public defender is building her case around self-defense because the teacher had a gun.
