This book traces the landing of Edward Ellis in Virginia in 1636 to the migration of one branch of the family to Davidson and Davie County North Carolina 5 generations later. This book Focus is on the Davie County Ellis that are descended from this Edward Ellis. The update in 2016 gives more information on a branch that moved to Southwest Nebraska between 1910-1929 along with many pictures and an appendix with some obituaries from this branch. There is also some updated info on a branch that came to Genoa, NE in 1880. The original book covers 12 generations up to 1974. Additional generations have not been added in this edition.
