Book Synopsis
Go Tell John captures what life was like for a young colored boy growing up in central Louisiana in the 1950s during a time of transition in the deep south. In a city divided by the railroad tracks, he grows up in a confusing world. He has the added burden of being challenged by a condition that was more confusing to him than the world. Special Education programs and conditions like ADHD were not a part of the School System that was available to him.
