Book Synopsis
Food of Love is a special part of Marilyn's culinary journey from Fiji to California and around the world. This collection of recipes tells a story of how she went from never measuring or writing anything down to writing 39 recipes in a day. Her recipes embrace wellness, nature, flavor, and serendipity, offering perspectives on cooking and baking that incorporate whimsy and play. Her inspiration comes from music, loved ones, flowers, social justice, and a spirituality that is grounded in nature. Marilyn offers these recipes as a pathway to developing and enhancing the readers’ own intuitive cooking and baking style.

Food of Love - Got this cookbook from Esther. The recipes were so inspiring, my family decided to try our way to become vegetarians. Easy to follow instructions, you can whip up breakfast, lunch and dinner in a flash. You can get your ingredients at most supermarkets now. Be creative, adventurous and have fun with this cookbook. You will feel the LOVE!

Great first step into discovering vegan recipes. The instructions are easy to follow and the back stories give it a unique twist. Recommend experimenting with these recipes with the kids as a way to discover new flavours and introducing a plant based diet.

I want to be both a cook and a vegan. Out of all the healthy vegan cookbooks I have encountered, I found Food of Love to be right for me in several ways: size of the book, amount of recipes, number of pictures of food and refreshingly, flowers, and amount of inspirational writing to continue trying. I will not lie, I tried to make the banana pancakes and I failed twice, as I had never used buckwheat flour before or was substituting for it in a way that didn’t work out. By the third time, I got it! My kids love it when I sneak in dark chocolate chips. Lentil soup is one of my favorite inexpensive dishes. Due to my limited cooking experience, I had not ventured out of my comfort zone. With this book, I feel empowered to do so! You need this book in your collection!
