Book Synopsis
Last words uttered by ordinary people. Whenever I have heard somebody say, “what were his last words?” I am always impressed by the inspiring eloquences that famous people have sputtered on their death beds. Even though I am not famous, I nonetheless hope my last words will be capable of inspiring generations, or at least my own kids who I am seldom able to inspire in life. This may seem unnecessarily morbid, but as I was approaching my 50th birthday, this type of thought increasingly crossed my mind. Basically, as I drew nearer to death, I became increasingly concerned with the importance of my time on earth, a legacy, perhaps. This is most commonly referred to as a ‘mid-life’ crisis. Sure, I was going through a mid-life crisis, but instead of worrying about building a legacy, I became obsessed with leaving a legacy by finally uttering something brilliant at my final moment. Maybe some of these not so famous last words could inspire you or someone you know.
