Book Synopsis
After Burbank, California's earth quake caused the schools to close temporarily, kindergarten teacher, Bobbi Joe Randall, decides to return to her hometown in the dixie south of Cades, South Carolina. She figures it would do her some good to surprise her parents for their 38th wedding anniversary. With her boyfriend being a very busy lawyer, she feels she needs to be around the comfort of her loving southern family. Being home causes old memories to re-appear, one of them being Charles Ray Tanner. The handsome mechanic shop owner is now trying to get his start in owning a small ranch. Bobbi Joe learns that he often volunteers to help with their family farm. Their sudden encounters in the small town causes big emotions to rebirth again. Charles realizes that the more he is around her presence, he starts to fall for her. There is only one thing left to do, will he be able to convince her to stay in the south where she belongs and steal her heart from her arrogant yankee boyfriend? He only has a short period of time to do so.
