Book Synopsis
This course unpacks what the Bible has to say about the identity and activity of the local church elder with a freshness and clarity that is profoundly helpful. This is a book that elders can read together to their profit and one that will help a congregation to pray for and support its leaders so that their work will be a joy and not a burden.
Course Objectives: When you finish this course, you should be able to: (1) Analyze and explain God’s plan for the church, the role, person, heart and characters of an elder; (2) Recognize the qualities of effective elders and the proper use of their authorities as described in the Bible; (3) Develop personally the qualities which characterized the effective elders and how they coordinate and fellowship with others noted in the Bible; (4) Demonstrate understanding and use of the techniques necessary for effective church administration and management; (5) Prepare for, and coordinate a business affairs meeting of your ministry or church.
