Book Synopsis
The marvelous and amazing history of the vast European migration to North America is a story that needs to be told. It is a story of bravery, heroism, sacrifice, vision, and most importantly a story of God’s gracious providence. This story is filled with remarkable chapters of Pilgrims, Puritans, Methodists, Presbyterians, Baptists, Quakers, Jews and Catholics alike. The story spans a wide swath of years from 1493 to about 1890. During these many years a great nation was born. Several wars were fought and won against England, the greatest empire in the world at that time. The brave men and women who came to America from Europe carved out of the rough and rugged wilderness a new nation born of Republican ideals, filled with a great faith in the living God.
For hundreds of years this great history has been told and retold filling our hearts with gratitude for God’s blessing upon us and also filling us with hope that the future can be as bright and glorious as our past has been. However, a new view of history has been hatched in the minds of those whose convictions and loyalties lie elsewhere. These loyalties do not lie in American democracy, nor in the Christian worldview of the West, but in the dark and sinister view of socialism and communism. Springing up in American society during the 1960s was a wild band of revolutionaries who were immersed in Marxist Communism. These radicals were fierce anti-Christian, anticapitalist, and anti-Western revolutionaries. Their sympathies lie not with the historical roots of American history but rather they lie with the roots of the Bolshevik revolution and in the former Soviet Union.
