The only English translation of Dictionnaire Des Proverbes Balant by Jules Mansaly. Jules Mansaly is a Balanta writer from Senegal. In 2017 he won the Grand Prix of the President of the Republic for Arts, Senegal for his novel 𝙇𝙚𝙨 𝙎𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙨 𝙙𝙚 𝙉𝙨𝙚𝙘𝙠𝙖, and was nominated to be among the top 10 writers of the year. In 2017, he publishe a Balanta-Ganja Dictionary (French). The book contains 534 Balanta proverbs.
