Book Synopsis
Charlie is content living out his days as an exiled werewolf in the backwoods of Pennsylvania, trying to keep the wolf in his head under control. But when he infects two people, he suddenly finds himself at the head of a pack, unqualified and unhappy. Worse, his newly-turned packmate is connected to a string of vampire abductions. Already in trouble with the supernatural governing body, Charlie finds himself playing amateur detective, at odds with a rival pack, vampire bodyguards, and whoever is snatching up the vamps. Meanwhile, Charlie’s control over his own murderous wolf is slipping.
A natural loner, Charlie finds his pack growing larger, giving him more problems than he can handle. Lela hates the idea of being a werewolf, Walt likes it a little too much, and Benny just managed to destroy a bit of witchcraft that might make him the most powerful werewolf alive. But none of that seems important once Charlie’s best friend is added to the list of missing vamps.
