Book Synopsis
On a quaint farm in France the rooster, Chantecler, is highly respected for his immaculate and talented crowing every morning. They say there is a secret to his song, one that he refuses to share with anyone. However, when a golden pheasant hen stumbles onto their farm, he suddenly finds his defenses weakened by her enchanting beauty. All the while, the critters of the night bemoan Chantecler's morning reverie and plan to bring it to an untimely end.
