Book Synopsis
"A Fine Upstanding Lad" is a new musical with lyrics, melodies and book by Shawn Mulligan and music and arrangements by Maverick McCarl. The show centers around Seamus Briggs, the campus hero of Ridgevale University in the year 1910, and his underappreciated best friend David Belmont. Seamus faces up against his campus rival Dawson Carlton, searches for a long-lost fortune to save the school, falls in love, and goes through all the trials and tribulations of love and life in this rousing musical comedy currently in development for the Central Theatre Ensemble at Central Washington University in Ellensburg, WA.
