Book Synopsis
It is 1967, in the Midwest. Technology is plugging along. A computer is the size of a U-Haul trailer and inside a building with sever air conditioning. The major computers are not as powerful as your smart phone today. But that was then, this is now.
Dan and Tim Shell find an anomaly in their mapping work. They had been across a cyber bridge once before. Now a new one appears. It invites them across.
The problem now is that there are rogue programs in the computer system and they are causing trouble for the developers company. It seems a pixilated figure has taken a life of its own. It is causing trouble and the men are sent in to check the programs.
When they do, they find the nefarious activities in the company. The computers are hiding in an old building at an old part of the airport. There, the computer company can work without interference.
Why kind? From whom? What can the young me do to fix things?
