Book Synopsis
Curt Krüger was born the same year Adolph Hitler became chancellor of Germany. Along with all boys in his country, he was trained with the Hitler Youth, and at 10 years of age was drafted to travel with the Nazi Army to the Russian Front. During the peak of World War II, he was captured by Russian soldiers in Poland. He escaped and walked all the way to Hamburg, only to find his hometown still in the throes of war. This is a story of faith, survival, and the strength of a family in crisis.
